The Hancock County Memorial Hospital Laboratory is integral to your health care team as they collect specimens and report results to your health care provider for diagnosis and treatment of a variety of health conditions. The lab is staffed 24/7 M-Th and on-call Friday evenings through the weekend. HCMH runs a broad spectrum of tests including:

What is Fasting?
The food and drink we consume impacts many levels in our blood. Fasting ensures a method to standardize results for the health care provider to make the best decision for the best outcome. Normal or reference ranges are generally established from fasting results. Fasting means no food or liquids other than water are ingested for 10-12 hours prior to blood draw.

Do I need to Register as a Patient Before My Lab Visit?
Yes, you will need to register.

Do I Need an Appointment for my Lab Visit?
Yes, It is recommended to make an appointment so you do not have to wait for those who have called for an appointment. Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Don't forget to register first!

What is Lab Wellness Testing?
HCMH is offering Wellness Laboratory Testing, a program which allows individuals to receive wellness screens without a physician's written order.
